Warning: The extension system for Chrome is still under heavy development and is extremely unstable. You must be running the latest development channel release of Chrome (version 3.0.196.0 or greater) and be running Chrome with the --enable-extensionsflag.

Because both Google Chrome and Xmarks for Chrome Alpha are both in early development, corruption of your bookmark data may occur. Please take these precautions before installing this alpha:
- Make sure all your other browsers are in sync and the Xmarks server has all your latest bookmarks. If anything bad happens, you can always use the Xmarks restore feature to get everything back to where you started.
- If you have unsynchronized bookmarks in Chrome, back those up before you start. To back up your Chrome bookmarks open the Bookmark manager and select: Tools —> Export bookmarks.... Save the bookmarks file to a safe location.
